Zane
Warrior-sorcerer, trained by Arthur and Aurora Nightshade. His combat style fuses sword routes, spell routes, and dangerous hybrid abilities.

Before it was a prison of obsidian corridors, the Blood of Lenar: Obsidian Descent was the Monastery of Radiant Light, built to guard the Aether Stones. Zoron corrupted the stones and converted the monastery into a machine that feeds on spirits, rearranges its halls, and turns former protectors into enemies.
Zane survives the stones because his bloodline carries an old resistance to soul magic. The fortress uses that same resistance as bait: every level offers power, but every power is tied to corruption, memory, and sacrifice.

Alchemist, healer, and tactical support. Kyla grounds the story in survival: potions, antidotes, warnings, and research.
Knight commander and combat trainer. Arthur's lessons shape the Swordsmanship tree and Zane's defensive timing.
Optional ally imprisoned in the Blood Hall. If freed, she opens shadow movement routes and changes how players read hidden passages.
Final antagonist and architect of the fortress corruption, using shadow magic, dark fire, and stolen soul energy.
These threads give the game more than room-by-room combat. They create reasons for secrets, optional paths, boss memories, and future downloadable content.
The monastery's guardians did not simply die. Many were reshaped into librarians, wardens, jailers, and knights who still remember fragments of their vows.
Ancient mages who understood Aether fusion. Their failed seals can become puzzles, collectibles, and late-game lore entries.
A faction that believed controlled corruption could defeat Zoron. Their writings can complicate the story and create morally ambiguous upgrades.
